Now that we have documented the Ottawa presence of John Byrnes of the McCabe List, 
ML #142
BYRNES, John, Wicklow, Ballinulta, Ballinulta
His Father Matthew with a very large family residing in Nakerumkal [Knockatomcoyle?] 
near Tenehala, Co. Wicklow, known to Abraham Jones Esqr.
 
I thought it would be useful to look at the settlement pattern of those Fitzwilliam 
estate tenants who received assisted emigration from Ballynultagh and Ballyraheen 
(essentially the same place) in the period 1847-1856:

His father, Edward Hopkins, with a very large family, resides at Kolekenna in the 
County Wickow; he is desirous of coming to Canada; is known to Capt. Nixon of Kolekenna.
