January 22, 2007:
To A. Lewis and B. Lohm:
My name is Clarence George McCallum and Robert McCallum ( in your notes and
information on the Campbell, McCallum, Hockin and Elliott lines) is my great
grandfather. My grandfather was Robert's first son John. I have most of the
details on the McCallum descendants from Robert McCallum downwards. I do
have the information that Robert's father was James and his wife was Jane ?
I note that in your information you were not able to find the whereabouts of
James in Canada. I do not have that detail either nor do I know where the
McCallums lived in County Antrim Ireland. There seems to be a close
relationship between the Campbells and the McCallums as it is noted that
John Campbell's second wife was a McCallum.
I do know that Robert McCallum had a sister Mary who was married to Nelson
Hunter and they lived in Mornington Township, Perth County near Milverton,
Ontario in the late 1800s.
Any additional information you may have received on the early history of the
McCallum or Campbell lines would be appreciated. My E.mail address is
cgmccallum@hotmail.com
Clarence G. McCallum.
