Ireland to Gloucester Township
February 18, 2008:
Hi Al,
I noticed this interesting thing while looking at the Gloucester residents' page
this morning:
Luke BYRNE married 04-10-1848 Mary CAMPBELL Gloucester?
I believe this is the same Luke Byrne who's listed on the same page, but with the
Fitzwilliam group:
BYRNE, Ann MAHER; Luke; Ann
Moylisha, County Wicklow
to Gloucester, ON
Luke Byrne married Mary Campbell of Bytown, widow of Owen Brennan, at the Basilica
on 4 Oct 1848. Wit: John Moran and Ann Byrnes. (Owen Brennan died during the
summer of 1847 in Bytown and may have been a famine immigrant ... Al).
In 1871 Luke Byrne was in Gloucester

It would be interesting if this page number from the 1871 census gave us any clues
about who Luke's neighbours were - Gloucester being a big place!
