Thanks to Michael Daley for the following:
Michael Daley, his wife Elizabeth McGuire with two sons, Thomas and John, native of
Kings County Ireland, immigrated to Lower Canada in 1826. Two sons, James and Patrick
were born in Quebec, daughter Mary whose baptism is recorded in the register of Notre
Dame Cathedral, reads Mary Daley daughter of Michael Daley and Elizabeth McGuire of
Osgoode Township dated Oct 5th, 1833, sponsors were James and Mary Darcy, signed J. Cullen, P.
Son Michael, born 1836 in Osgoode,also from Notre Dame records states Michael Daley of
Osgoode died January 1st, 1841 age 45 years. He was buried in the Catholic cemetery in
Osgoode, at Metcalfe Corners. The 1842 census of Osgoode states widow Daley and 4 boys
living in the Township, Lot 14, Con. 3.
The family of Michael Daley and Elizabeth McGuire. Thomas , married Mary McGee,
daughter of Patrick McGee and Mary Hughes from County Armagh, August 30, 1850
in Saint Mary's Church, (now called Our Lady of the Visitation), South Gloucester, John Daley married Kate McCooey, James
remained single. Mary married Michael Patrick Early, living in Minneapolis Minnesota, USA,
at the time of writing of John Daley's Will , Dated , Feb, the 11th 1898, also her
brother Patrick of the same place.
Thomas Daley purchased part of Lot 12, Con. 4 in 1850 With his wife Mary McGee.
They raised a family of six girls and four boys.

Michael Thomas Daley married Katherine Keough, daughter of Thomas Keough and Elizabeth
Shanahan, on January 8, 1878. They raised a family of 3 boys and 4 girls and lived
together for 69 years.
Thomas Patrick married Mary Ida Leahy, daughter of Maurice Leahy and Margaret Jane
Herbert, on April 23, 1918. They had 7 children. Mary Ida died in child birth GOOD
FRIDAY AT 3 P.M. April 3, 1931 at the age of 39 years.
Elizabeth married Oliver Cleland, son of Hugh Cleland and Mary Ann Kenny, on September
18, 1906. They had 4 children.
James married Mary Elizabeth Herbert, daughter of James Herbert and Elizabeth Nash,
on June 21, 1904. They had 3 children.
Mary married Jack Brophy, son of Michael Brophy and Mary Fermoyle of Nepean,
on September 28, 1909. They had six children.
Louise married Ambrose Brophy, son of Joseph Brophy and Bridjet Madden, on June 9,
1903. They had 12 children and farmed in Nepean.
Francis Augustine married Margarite Ousler, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. They had 3 children.
Theresa Florence married William Gillissie, son of William Gillissie and Ann Hurley,
of Metcalfe , in St. Mary Magdalene Church, Pittsburgh, PA. [no children ].
Patrick Daley married Bridget Rodgers of Ottawa on August 5, 1885 in Holy Rosary
Church in Minneapolis, Pennsylvania and had 4 boys and 1 girl. Bridget, Patrick's
wife, died on April 20, 1894 ,Patrick came back to Osgoode and married Mary Keough,
sister of Katherine, above.
James Daley married Agnes Grant on October 22, 1890 in St. Catherine's Church,
Metcalfe, daughter of James Grant and Elizabeth McNally. They resided at N ½ Lot
12/4 and raised 4 boys and 7 girls.
Alonzo Thomas married Mary Eleanor McKernan, daughter of Charles McKernan
and Mary Ann Moore of Eganville, Renfrew County. They had 7 boys and 3 girls.
Gertrude Mary Elizabeth (Sister of the Immaculate Conception)
Teresa Margaret married Charles McGuire, son of Patrick McGuire and Margaret Rushleau. 5 children

Michael Francis received his education at Osgoode's Herbert's school, Ironsides,
Quebec, Kitchener, Ottawa University and St. Augustine's Seminary in Toronto.
Ordained to the priesthood at St. Mary's Church, South Gloucester, May 17, 1932
by Bishop William Forbes. Parish priest at Gavan, Saskatchewan for 4 years. Chancellor
to Bishop Monaghan at Regina. He was an Army chaplain with the rank of Major in WWII.
At the time of his death on May 25, 1959, he had just completed the task of building
the New Canadian Martyrs Church in North Regina.
Aldred Patrick born June 12 1906 Ordained to the Priesthood in the
Ottawa Dioceses, deceased in 1938
Madonna Alice married Raymond Leahy, son of Maurice Leahy and Margaret Jane Herbert 5 children.

Evelyn Leona - died as an infant
Agnes, James' wife died January 1st, 1933.
Mary Daley married Phillip McEvoy, son of John McEvoy and Anastasia Powers, on
October 24, 1883. They had 10 children.
John Daley - unmarried.
Elizabeth Daley married James Blanchfield, son of John Blanchfield and Mary Durning,
on January 25, 1893.
Teresa Daley married Jack Kelly, son of Patrick Kelly and Catherine McEvoy, on March 4,
1886 in South Gloucester. Contributed to the Kelly explosion on the river road in
[Osgoode] Township
Annie Daley married Thomas Grant, son of James Grant and Elizabeth McNally of
Metcalfe, on June 4, 1889. They operated a general store for many years in Enniskerry.
11 children , Mary ,the first child ,died in infancy, Mayme , Sister Flora of
St. Joseph's Peterborough-A Teacher, Laura , Sister Marion, also of St. Joseph's
Harry died an infant ,Mabel, A nurse died in 1921 flu epidemic Vincent ,unm died
in the flu epidemic 1920-21, Irene, Sister Anna Clare, of Peterborough Gertrude ,
unm Anthony ,unm
Ethel May married Arthur Anderson, son of Mr ,and Mrs Ed Anderson 3 sons,
Flora died in her infancy
Terence married Mary Shields, daughter of Patrick Shields and Mary McEvoy, on
October 18, 1898. 5 children William married Catherine Marjorie Clancy Mary
married Walter Egan, Dennis Leo and Joseph unmarried
Margaret Agnes married James Fagan, (Fagan), son of Christopher Fagan and Margaret Nash.
One daughter , deceased as infant
Gertrude married into the William Cleland family,, of West Osgoode, native's of
County Down, Ireland , August 15th 1900 Gertrude Daley married Hugh Cleland in Saint
Mary church south Gloucester, son of Hugh Cleland and Mary Ann Kenny 8 children,
Mary , Sister Anseln ST, Joseph's Convent Pembroke, Harold, married Phyllis McEvoy
daughter of Richard McEvoy and Elizabeth Sheerin 2 children, Kay married
Lawrence Millar 2 children, Freda , Sister Loretta, Gertrude ,unm, Lorretta
married Patrick Collins , Irene Cleland unm Walter , married Patricia O,Rourke
daughter of John O'Rourke and Elizabeth Cole, 2 boys .
Any info, would appreciated on, Mary Daley, [above] wife of Michael Patrick Early,
living in Minneapolis Minnesota, and her brother Patrick ,of the same place, at the
time of the writing of their brother John Daley's will, dated Feb , 11th 1898,
in Osgoode, Ontario.
