June 22, 2003:
The DOOLEY family from Osgoode in the 1800's were friends and neighbours of
my Burns and Christopher ancestors from the same neighbourhood.
There were many competitive euchre games in the 1950's in Ottawa between the Dooley,
Burns, and O'Rourke families. Father Thomas O'Rourke and his sidekick, Bud Farrell,
from the Chelsea and Farrelton area were frequent visitors. Losers at euchre had to
do the dishes.
