I have just begun researching my Duncan family in the Gloucester Township area. 
 
My Grandmother is a Spratt and my Grandfather is a Duncan.   I have several 
relatives researching the Spratts already. 
My interest is gathering information on the Irish Duncan's in the Gloucester / Bytown area.
 
Thomas Duncan came from N. Ireland and is Presbyterian.   I would love to eventually 
learn where in Ireland he came from.
He was married twice, once to Catherine Johnston and  to Margaret Savage.  
He had children with both wives.
I wonder if Catherine Johnston is related to the Johnston's of "Johnston's Corners"
I believe Thomas married Catherine before coming to Canada.  
If the Johnston's are related........ I would like to know where they came from 
in Ireland.

Thomas Duncan B 1808 - aft 1881 born in _______N. Ireland
married Catherine Johnson(Johnston)  possibly in Ireland.

Children of Catherine and Thomas Duncan:

2) James B 1838 may have married Janet  & had 10 children-Lanark Area,
3)Thomas B 1845, 
4)Alexander B 1834 married Mary Seymour B 1863 -children: Robert , Viola
