Researching my GGG Grandfather Patrick Jordon 1799-12 April 1859  
Pte. Gatineau, Que.), R.C. resident of Templeton, Que., who married Mary  
Margaret Doyle abt. 1810, I noted an unconfirmed relationship in Bytown's 1842
Census. With heads of household only, it records a Patrick Jordan  
(Family #35) of three (attending) the Church of Rome; no other information is
included.
   Their first born, my GG Grandmother, is Mary Bridgitte ca 1824
(Ireland)-20 Dec. 1916 (Ottawa) who was later blessed with siblings  
Michael b. 1842, Margaret b. 1847, Jeanne b. 1849, Bridget b. 1850, Patrick  
b. 1855, Helen b. 1857 and Elizabeth b. unknown. Ca 1839, Mary Bridgette  
married Michael Morris 1812-before 1889 (Ottawa or St. Cloud, Minnesota, USA.) 
"of Wright, Yeoman, (who) in Ref. 14800, # 156, (0-2033) received a Land Grant  
of 160 acres for $97.20 - ²the Lot number Thirty-seven in Range Letter C of  
the Twp. of Wright (County Ottawa, Province of Canada) aforesaid, being an  
irregular Lot bounded on front to the South by the River Gatineau, and to the  
North by the Third Range of said Township, recorded 14 November 1864.²
    In related evidence :
(a) The 1894-95 Ottawa Directory, Mary Morris, widow of Michael &  
homeowner, is living at 50 Murray St. together with Michael J., Clerk.
(b) The 1889-90 Ottawa Directory, John lived with his mother, Mary  
Bridget, a widow of Michael & homeowner with Mary & Theresa (classified as a  
boarder) at 50 Murray St., Ottawa.

Kevin: I have a feeling that this Jordan family may be related to the James Jordan
family of Osgoode Township. There are common surnames in the 1840's - 
Doyle and Corrigan and common connections to East Templeton.
I'll keep an eye out.
