New January 7, 2015:: Hello, I am also from this incredible Lucas gene pool. I am wondering if you would like some pictures of Johnny and Ellen or Henry? If you would I am happy to supply you with some. Do you know of any photos or drawings of Andrew? I have some articles that were owned by Andrew ( his snoose box made from briarwood ) of Johnny's I have a pocket knife and the lock and a few nails from his home, from Henry I have an ox yoke that he made. Wow you say where did I get these? From Henry Clifford of Watford, Ontario, he was my great uncle, I spent months with him in the 70's listening to so many stories. What branch are you from? all for now, Cheers Thomas Andrew Lucas __________________________ Hi Allan, Thank you very much to take the time to write, What a wonderful project "Bytown" is. As far as I can tell, the above William Lucas is not from our clan in Canada, It is possible that going up a few more generations into Ireland that there is a chance. This William and my Andrew are from different counties in Ireland. By all means place my email on the contact list for Andrew. BTW Andrew and Johnny both worked as labourers on the Rideau Canal. I will take some pictures for you of the items that I had mentioned. I am not sure if you saw this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=230BMei1Kqk I know that it is a little off your mark, however I am betting that you like local ( Ontario history). This is a great historical story, the first car to be completely handmade in Ontario. Including original designs for springs gears radiator and and engine. All parts invented and forged in Watford Ontario. Cheers Tom PS Andrew Lucas ended up near Watford.
