I somehow stumbled onto your notation listed regarding Major family
questions. I too have many questions about this family, as I am one, but I
have next to no starting point. What info do you possess regarding that
Matthew Major family you listed besides the LDS listing? I think (I am
pretty sure) that the Thomas listed in that family is in my direct line.

I noted the references to the Major family of Torbolton Township.  
I have already just recently corresponded with Karen and Todd Major.  
Al you might remember me as the one who supplied the information on 
Joseph Fortune and Mary Story regarding Joseph surveying Richmond Ontario.

P.S.  There is a book in the Ottawa Public Library on the Catholic Major families 
of Carleton county.  Been a long time since I have seen it.  It is located in 
the Ottawa room if my memory serves me correctly.  None of my Protestant Major 
family members were in it.
