The above is a plaque in Moloughney Park in Jockvale - now part of Barrhaven and now in the City of Ottawa.
Hi Wayne and Al Excerpt from The Kennedy Story Just a small blurb mentioning Patrick Moloughney. I checked the on-line census for the Frain Family. The only individual out of six was a Patrick Frain in York, age 72 which would put a daughter by the name of Maria born in the early 1820's around Thomas's age. Well I guess my Saturday is booked this week at the Archives in Toronto. Take care Taylor "When great grandfather William Kennedy died, he left his farm ( in later years the Jim Houlahan place) to his son Michael who was quite young at the time, and could not take possession of the farm until he reached 21. During the intervening years, it was rented to the Monahan family ( Ned Monahan's father). The original log house, which must have been built about 1860 and was later sheeted with clapboards, is still being used by Paddy Moloughney, the present owner of the farm. The original log barn was used by Leo Houlahan till the late 1930's, when it became sway-backed with age that it finally collapsed one winter from snow-load." Note: The McCabe List shows a brother-in-law of John WATTERS as being a FRAHAN (FRAIN or FRANE?) back home in Tipperary -- see posting dated May 29, 2007 ... Al (More to come for this web page)
