Many of the pioneer families are buried at St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery, Mountain Township.

Some of the early families were Mellon, Ridley, Baldwin, Storey / Story, Rutledge, Bowen, Higginson,
Montieth, Bowen, Kays / Keyes / Kays, Price, Kavanaugh, Reid, Redmond and Downe.

The main villages are Hallville, Inkerman and South Mountain.

Allison Gibson is researching her ancestor, William Jones, who was an early settler in Mountain Township.
