May 29, 2007:

This is new web page being set up for early history and pioneers of
Oxford Township. We are finding many connections between this township
and the Bytown / Ottawa area of Ontario, Canada. Especially with
Marlborough Township which is across the Rideau Canal and River to the north
of Oxford Township.

Robert Sample has sent in a photograph of the Acton Corners School class
of 1896.


 May 5, 2012:

In 1895, Calvin Bucker, a Methodist Minister from Bishop's Mills, married Jane (Jennie) Phillips, from Smiths Falls.
