Oxford Township Pioneers, Grenville County, Ontario, Canada

May 29, 2007:

This is new web page being set up for early history and pioneers of
Oxford Township. We are finding many connections between this township
and the Bytown / Ottawa area of Ontario, Canada. Especially with
Marlborough Township which is across the Rideau Canal and River to the north
of Oxford Township.

Robert Sample has sent in a photograph of the Acton Corners School class
of 1896.
May 5, 2012: In 1895, Calvin Bucker, a Methodist Minister from Bishop's Mills, married Jane (Jennie) Phillips, from Smiths Falls.
New February 27, 2015: Ian White has written a paper regarding the history of the Kemptville, Ontario Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Read his interesting paper in .pdf format. Some of the names mentioned are Hall of Famer Frank Boucher and Joseph Bower / Joseph Bowers.
