Patrick DALY and Honorah QUINN
Dear Al:
As promised here is some of the Daly / Daley family.
Foran is not really the appropriate place for this info except that the parents of
Alice Daly who married Nicholas Foran were Patrick Daly and Hanorah Quinn
from Tipperary who came during the famine times. Patrick was a tenant farmer
on O'Connor land along the north part of the Rideau Front

3. Michael ?
I found the burial of Thomas and Honora in the old Notre Dame list at the
Ottawa Room of the Public Library. The disease was given in French, but I was
told it meant chicken pox. At that time, 1878, Patrick and Ann were living in Alfred.
The other children who died of diphtheria mentioned by Kevin Collins were,
perhaps, other children of Patrick and Ann, or some of the numerous children of
John and Julia Daly.
Hope this clarifies things,

Dear Al,
Thanks for entering my info. Concerning the M Burns
I checked ny notes and it was a Michael Burns who married Julia Daly of
Gloucester. They had a son James Burns who married Mary Burns, daughter
of Michael Burns and Mary Burns at the Basilica in 1855 - I think you
already have them under your list of marriages. I will send you some more
of the tidbits from my notes later.

From Kevin Collins, Feb. 26, 2001:
Took a look at this page recently and checked against my own family tree
file and came up with some common people. I have a Patrick Daly-Ann McKenna
set of parents - also with six children but with variations from Joan's
list. The children I have are:
1) Ann born 1865 and died September 15, 1963
2) Margaret born 1975 and died April 24, 1910, married to A.J. Larden
3) Catherine born 1878 and died 1969, married to Edmund McDonald (died
January 31, 1942)
4) Norah born 1882 and died May 24, 1926
5) Winnifred born 1892 and died 1963, married to William Blenkarn
6) Michael (no dates)
There is enough in common to convince me that this is the same family unit,
although there are also puzzling differences. As a further clue (or
puzzlement), there is a note in my files to the effect that in one part of
this branch, there were "15 boys and girls who all died young, including
five at once with diptheria".
