June 10, 2008:
Hi Al:
I am researching the Thomas & Ann Joyce Shanahan family and note their daughter, Mary
Shanahan married Michael Stackpole (date unknown) had a son, William John. William married
Mary Agnes Cahill and had three children:
1. Michael George Patrick b. 9/26/1916 and 2. Mary Ann b. 4/3/1922.
Following are the questions on the Stackpole's:
The marriage date of Mary Shanahan & Michael Stackpole;
the name, birth/marriage/death dates of William & Mary Stackpole's third child;
the names b/m/d of Michael George Patrick and Evelyn Wallace;
if Mary Ellen "Nellie" Stackpole b. 7/4/1884-d. 12/31/1958 was ever married, to whom and date;
Also I have been trying to locate the grave of my husbands great-grandfather Paul Shanahan
b. 6/29/1853, d. 12/22/1914 (son of Thomas & Ann Shanahan).
GG Paul married Jane Fitzsimmons, b. abt. 1851, d. abt 1886 on 10/28/1875. Jane died in
Ontario and GG Paul died in Ogdensburg, USA, NY City Hospital and his remains were
supposedly buried in either South Gloucester or Osgoode Township by/with his wife.
(Paul's wife is buried at St. John the Evangelist at Enniskerry, Osgoode Township).
I know this is a tall order, but any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Carol Shannon
