Patrick SCULLION and Eleonor WILSON
from County Antrim, Ireland to Cantley, Quebec, Canada, 1830's
ML# 96

New November 2, 2011:

Hello to all of you relatives to the Scullion lineages from Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and its surroundings.

I have been searching one Scullion lineage in particular: Patrick Scullion married to Eleonor (Helen) Wilson.

Patrick Scullion appears in the History of Cantley book by R. A. J. Phillips as one of its first families
originating from Ireland.

In the 1829 McCabe List, Patrick is from County Antrim and has a brother, Nicholas, back in Balleymoney.

He is listed in the 1842 Return of the Enumeration of the Inhabitants of Hull p. 1279 as living in lot 3, range 12.

Patrick is also listed in the same area in 1851 (Ottawa district, Hull part 3 page 9a (81). John, a son seems to
be living with them. Patrick is listed in the same lot and range as Daniel Birt.
Same listing appears in the 1861 Agricultural census, Enumeration district 4, township of Hull, along again
with Daniel Birt.
Now, here is where the problem starts: cannot find Patrick and Eleonor in the 1871 census. It seems there is no
district 4 that year. We cannot find any further information of Patrick-Eleonor: date, place of death or else after 1861...

Here is a brief picture of Patrick descendants:
- Patrick Scullion--Eleonor (Helen) Wilson both from Ireland.
-John Scalahan Scullion--Elizabeth Grant (marriage Notre-Dame Ottawa, Ont. 21 July 1854)
-John Johnny Scullion--Elizabeth Fogarty (marriage May 5 1884, Bouchette QC)
-Joseph James Leonard Scullion--Mary Margaret Munroe (marriage October 1 1929, Maniwaki QC.)

We need help finding Patrick and Eleonor’s whereabouts after 1861.

Regards, Roger Flansberry.
