He's in the South Gloucester register married to an Elizabeth Mitchell. (Her name is
something like Mechant, and the priest has written "called Mitchell.")
Matthew's daughter, Elizabeth Tallon, was married to a man called Richard Granger,
whose death cert. has him living at Bowesville.
I wondered if he was related to the Samuel Granger who married Bridget Byrne (from
Ballynultagh, County Wicklow), who was living in / married in Osgoode (ND records).
Samuel has been a bit of a puzzle.
Here's the Burns/Granger marriage record:
15-9-1847
Bridget Burns/Byrne, d/o Pat Byrne and Helen Kearney/Ellen Casey, m. Samuel Granger,
s/o Samuel Granger and Elizabeth Tatha ? Latha? in Osgoode; Wit: Dolly Burns [Bridget's
sister, m. James Waters]
